is this right

7 7 11
------ = ------ + -----------------
x + 1 x - 1 X(squared) - 1

i keep coming up w/ -7 = 7 + 11
and anonther thing i keep coming up with is 7X = 7X + 14 + 11

I keep coming up with no solution i assume this is the correct answer ????

yes that is X(squared) i could not figure out how to type X squared on the keyboard.

Thank you that respond

You're steps seem correct and I'm pretty sure there are no solutions to this. Using my graphing calculator, I graphed \(\displaystyle y = \frac{7}{x-1} + \frac{11}{x^{2}-1} - \frac{7}{x+1}\) and it doesn't look like it has any roots.

You are correct. No solution.

If your equation is \(\displaystyle \frac{7}{x+1}=\frac{7}{x-1}+ \frac{11}{x^2-1}\) you could type it this way...

7/(x+1) = 7/(x-1) + 11/(x^2 - 1)

or even

..7.........7..........11
----- = ----- + ---------
x+1.....x-1......x^2 - 1
