Can someone please help me with these few questions.

Determine values for a and b such that 5/2 is a solution of the equation

ax+b=0

Solve the formula for the specified variable.
N=Q+6/Q solve for Q

Solve for v0
s = 1/2gt2+v0t
This is my first math class in 4 years, so I am a bit rusty. Thanks for any help.

Well

Hi C. I am fairly new here too. The way things seem to work is that you present a problem and make a start, then people try to nudge you back on the correct path if you are going astray. Your best bet is to take one of your problems and show some work, as it is, aside from completely doing the problem for you one doesn't know where to begin helping you.

Also, if you are looking for sample problems there are hundreds of websites that will demonstrate worked problems, just google "Basic Algebra". For your set of problems "transposing equations" might also get you the examples you need.

BTW, you can show your work by using pencil and paper and scanning the document into your computer and then pasting it as a "picture", otherwise, I know, it is a bit laborious to type math expressions on the computer.

Hint: try solving for x in terms of a & b

That means get x alone on the left side of equal sign
