Isolate this variable: isolate x in f(x) = 3x + 9x^(17)

I was having some trouble with this problem. For some reason, I can't isolate x. Can someone explain to me how you would do that for this equation? Thanks in advance!

f(x) = 3x + 9x¹⁷​

Sorry in advance, this may be a little too simple for some of you guys. Treat it as a warmup.

Isolate x:

y = 3x - 9x¹⁷

'x' is already isolated!!

What do you need to do after you have "isolated" x?
