Is this some type of riddle? (going "halves" in business idea; keep getting it wrong)

hey guys, a friend and I have been trying to work this out all day but even tho it seems simple we keep coming up with different answers.

We are going "halves" in a business idea. He brought the first item with his credit card, it came to 52,177php.
I bought the second item with my card it was 7,270php. So the total is 59,447php. this morning i gave him 10,000. Now we're trying to figure out how much more i owe to make it even. obviously, i have to pay for half of what he brought and hes got to pay half of what i brought. not sure how it got so complicated lol.
we have come up with 3 different answers. it seems simple but adding up different ways can change everything. if someone could help that would be great

Is one of your three answers 12,453.50?

… obviously, i have to pay for half of what he brought and hes got to pay half of what i brought …
Maybe it's easier to think in terms of the total amount of stuff bought (59,447). Your share of that expense is half, and your friend's share is half. (Think division.)

Your friend's out-of-pocket expense was more than his share. How much more? (Think subtraction.)

Reduce this amount by 10,000 and pay him the rest. Then, each of you will have paid out the same amount (i.e., half the amount of stuff bought).

Check it afterwards by comparing your net outlay to his, and convince yourself.
