Problem::
What kind of system of equations is
2y+3x=6
4y++6x=12

Either it uses improper English or I'm just slow and have no idea as to what it's talking about. Please help!

Has your class not covered systems of equations yet? (Systems are classified as being independent, dependent, or inconsistent, and you seem unfamiliar with this, is why I ask.)

Thank you.

Eliz.

Hello, macmarge!

What kind of system of equations is:

. \(\displaystyle \begin{array}{cc}2y\,+\,3x & =& 6 \\ 4y\,+\,6x & = & 12\end{array}\)

Either it uses improper English
or I'm just slow and have no idea as to what it's talking about.

Did you try to solve the system?

It asks for the kind of system it is . . . Is it solvable or not?
. . If not, why not?

I tried to figure it out, I seriously don't remember covering that in class. I looked in my notes too. But we had our exam today and there was a question like that on here, and I just kinda made a good guess. *crosses fingers* i hope i did good...
