Hi,

Can anyone advise me on how to solve this problem ?

F(s) = 1/[(s+2)(s^2 + 8s + 25)]

Can i use the method of A + B and covering up rule ?

Thank you guys. Really need help !

i tried using partial fractions and the cover up rule. But somehow my numbers were too big for me to covert base on the chart.

Use method of partial fractions (I do not know the "method of A + B and covering up rule")

Hi Subhotosh,

Can i do it by

= 1/(s+2) + 1/(s2 + 8s +25)
= 1/(s+2) + 1/(s + 4)2 + 9
= ....

Is this the correct way of doing it ?

Yes and NO....

F(s) = 1/[(s+2)(s^2 + 8s + 25) = A/(s + 2) + (Bs + C)/(s^2 + 8s + 25)

Now solve for A, B and C ....
