What is the inverse function of f(x)=(6/x)+1?

Hint:

First step is to interchange x↔y in the given expression and then solve for 'y'.
 
For me the answer is

f(x)=(6/x)+1
y=(6/x)+1
x=(6/y)+1<------correct to here......


y=(6+1)/x

Ok....now, how did you go about solving

x = (6/y) + 1

for y?

HINT: Personally, I would begin by subtracting 1 from both sides of the equation:

x - 1 = (6/y) + 1 - 1
x - 1 = (6/y)

Can you continue to solve this for y?
