If the value of x is not equal to zero, (1/x) is called the inverse of x. Write two such numbers (with their inverses ) whereby the inverse of the greater number is Greater than the inverse of the smaller number ?

I put all possible numbers including decimal and natural numbers but i didnot get any correct answer. Can anybody help to give the clue...

Is it possible to get the numbers without using the negative numbers ?

I think without using negative numbers ,we cannot get the required answer. Is IT TRUE ?

You can prove/disprove your conjecture...

Start with X > Y and assume

1/X > 1/Y

1/X - 1/Y > 0

(Y - X)/(XY) > 0

continue....
