I am having difficult in solve a equation: this is the question is :Solve the equation 5y+10x=30 for y
I divided both sides by 5 but then i don't what number you should divide by to get your answer which I think is y=-2x+6.
Thanks :p

After your division, subtract 2x from both sides

i have several questions

1. How do you properly factor a complete equation properly? For example y(y-5)-7(y-5) I got the answer y(y-5)(y-7) is this correct?
2. 4x^4-2x^2+1 and 3x^2-3x-4 I got 4x$-5x^2-x+5 is this right?
thank for your help
