thanks for responding! welli feel like whats throwing me off is taht there are three variables...p, q, r...and im not sure what exactly needs to be done with that.

should i just solve the polynomial first ( i also had a question on that...whats the best way to solve for zero??) and then simply plug in the values for the three letters and add???
