how do i do this??
for the equation 5x-3y=-30 i have 2 find x and y intercepts
5x-3y=-30 so let x be 0
0-3y=-30 and how do u do the last step for x and y??

You are right up to this point. You an find the values of x-intercept(the x coordinate when y coordinate is zero) and y intercept(the y coordinate when x coordinate is zero). Where exactly are you stuck?

You need to get y by itself, so divide both sides of the equation by -3:

(-3y)/(-3) = (-30)/(-3)
y = 10

You now know that when x = 0, y = 10, so the y-intercept is (0,10).

To find the x-intercept, repeat this process, starting by letting y = 0.
