The function \(\displaystyle F(t)\) satisfies

\(\displaystyle F'(t) = e^{-t^2}\) and \(\displaystyle F(0)=0\).

What is \(\displaystyle F(t)\) as a definite integral?

Many thanks.

Re: Integration & Fundamental theorem of calculus

Hi Jenny,

Recall from the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus that
\(\displaystyle \int^{b}_{a} F'(x) \, dx = F(b) - F(a)\)
Now consider appropriate values for a and b.

Wow. It really is that easy?

Thanks. :D
