Solve the integral of [ ln(x+1) / ( x^2) ]

I don't think substitution works here, i don't know which technique to use .

Use can use integration by parts. Let \(\displaystyle u=ln(x+1), \;\ dv=\frac{1}{x^{2}}dx, \;\ du=\frac{1}{x+1}dx, \;\ v=\frac{-1}{x}\)

You MUST learn to see this variety. Any time you can change things to purely algebraic expressions, it is likely you will want to do that. Note particularly the derivatives of ln(x), atan(x), asin(x).
