Below is my correct attempt to enter the constrained optimization form of an optimization problem in Mathematica, followed by four incorrect attempts to enter a Lagrangian form of the same problem.
I did verify by graphing the feasible region and a sliding contour line in Desmos that the constrained optimization form solution is correct. The four Lagrangian forms I attempted were adding VS subtracting the substantive constraints, and keeping VS dropping the non-negativity constraints. There appears to be no explicit Lagrangian method in Mathematica. What am I doing wrong here?
