Your derivative is incorrect.

\(\displaystyle f'(x)=\frac{1-\ln(x+1)}{(x+1)^2}\)

Please note that it is not In, it is ln as in the letter "l" then n. So now what is your next step?

As srmichael said, it is "ln" (small "L") not "In". I don't know why so many people think it is "In"!

It is the fault of those "feet-less" fonts (Denis would call those sans-serif) like Arial......
