In-out Table on area math question

I have a math question that I dont understand:

A rancher is building a corral to keep her horses in. She decides that she can afford to buy 300 feet of fencing. For aesthetic reasons, she decides that the corral should be built in the shape of a rectangle. Because she cares about the happiness of her horses, she wants to build the corral so that there is as much space as possible inside it for the horses to move around.
Make an In-out table where the in is the width of the rectangle and the out is the area.
Find a formula or rule for this in-out table

Im confused on what the in-out table should look like and what the formula/rule would be.

This was supposed to have been covered in class and in your textbook before this exercise was assigned. To learn about "in-out tables" (which is not standard mathematical terminology), try some online lessons. You will quickly discover that they're nothing more than a neat listing of your input and output values.

You are given the perimeter of the rectangle; you are told to pick widths and find the corresponding lengths and areas. So "the formula" should probably include the formula for the perimeter P of a rectangle with width w and length L. Once you have picked some values for the width w and found the corresponding values of the lengths L, you can plug these into the formula for the area A of a rectangle with width w and length L.

If you get stuck, please reply with a clear listing of your work and reasoning so far. Thank you! :D
