what is the behavior of f as |x| --> INF?

Here is a suggestion. If you do the work, God may bless you with knowledge. If we do the work, aren't we helping you cheat? I am very weak on theology, but I have never heard that God favored cheating.

Are you serious right now? Clearly I'm in a desperate situation and need all the help I can get. I've spent that past two hours trying to crack this problem and posted this because I REALLY DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO IT. How is asking for help cheating? JESUS, CALM DOWN.

Now that is the way to elicit help while exemplifying piety. It would have worked too except that I am turning my computer off for fear of a deathly virus.

If I was smart and I needed help, I would never reveal to anyone that it was homework, if it was. In fact, if it was my exam, I dare not do it, unless of course, it was my teacher's intention for me to seek help from others for the take home exam in case I was lost; and I highly doubt that in your case.

I hoped you have some work to show since you worked on it for two hours.

The problem is not very difficult. I am sure you can solve it. Please believe me. Try to find the derivative of f(x) without making a mistake and try to link it to what the question is asking.

I am hesitant to help you any further only because it is your exam question.

Nevertheless, do revisit some similar problems in your text book, but may not be entirely necessary for this problem.

@ ihatemath314;325581 Are you aware that the are several web services such as Turn-it-in ​are available to instructors. In you summit work electronically or if the instructor types in a reply, then that program will search the web and report the % of match. When I chaired a university mathematics, there were several instructors who did online courses. They used Blackboard with Turn-it-in built in. Their policy was to fail any student who rated 70+% from turn-it-in for the whole course. We had two court cases from it. We were successful because the policy was clearly stated in the course outline.

No, clearly the circumstancial evidence is that you are cheating. Your impatience, desperation, yelling,
and lack of forthcoming work here give it away.

Do not yell in all caps.

You claim that you have spent the "past two hours" working,
so *show* the attempt, not some reference to alleged work.

Do not invoke "Jesus," especially yelling that name in all caps.
