I've been sitting here for the past hour trying to find an answer, but I'm clueless as to where to start. Also apologies if this is in the wrong category, I just have no idea what to do or what this is.
Here is the question:
In Raquel’s school, 30 students play in the local soccer league. They make up 8% of the league. How many students are in the league?

30÷8%=
30÷.08=375 students
This can't be correct as there are only 30 students to start with!

Well 50% would be 15, 25% would be 7.5, 12% = 3.6...

8 x 30 =
100

8% =

Sorry I misread the OP post. I took it the school had 30 students in total.

We need to find:

How many students are in the league

Let #of student in league = S

Given:

30 students make up 8% of the "#of student in league"

30 = (8/100) of S

S = 30/(0.08)

S = ?
