I'm getting a headache!

Here is the problem: 7=10-g/-2
how do I solve for g?
Is your problem:

\(\displaystyle 7 \ = \ 10 \ - \ \dfrac{g}{-2} \)

or

\(\displaystyle 7 \ = \ \dfrac{10 - g}{-2} \)

\(\displaystyle \text{Here is the problem: }\;7\:=\:\dfrac{10-g}{-2}\quad \text{How do I solve for }g?\)

\(\displaystyle \begin{array}{cccccc}
\text{Multiply by }-2: & -2(7) &=& -2\left(\dfrac{10-g}{-2}\right) \\ \\
& -14 &=& 10-g \\ \\
\text{Add }g: &-14 + g&=& 10-g+g \\ \\
& -14 + g & =& 10 \\ \\
\text{Add 14: } & -14 + g +14 &=& 10 + 14 \\ \\
& g &=& 24

\end{array}\)
