You are taking a trip through the provinces of Alberta and british columbia in canada. You are at Quesnel Lake when you decide to visit some of the national parks. You visit the following places in order: Kamloops, Revelstoke, Lethbridge, and Red Deer. After you visit Red Deer, you return to Quesnel Lake.

It has a map with a key the key as so far as being 200km and the trip takes 8 200km spaces.

So here's the question:
Your car gets 12 km per L of gas. If your gas tank holds 60 L and the cost of gas is $.29 per L, about how much will you spend on gas for the entire trip? How many times will you have to stop for gas if you begin with a full tank?

1 tank=720 km

8200/12= 689 1/3 liters need for the trip
you already have 60 liters
you must purchase an additional 629 1/3 liters
each purchase =60 l
629.33/60= 10.49 additional purchases
you must stop 11 times

the trip costs= 689.333x.29 dollars
you have already paid for the full tank
