Please help me solcve these problems.Thank you.

1) What is the value of 9x where x is ? (3x) = x! ?

2) What is the value of pq if ? (p^2 +7pq +q^2) + ? (q^2 + 14pq +p^2) = 49 ?

The sigma indicates that you are summing something, but over what range of values? What is the index and what is its range?

One method of attack might be to pick two whole numbers which sum to 49, square them, and set the results equal to the arguments of the radicals. See where that leads.

If you have further questions, please reply with clarification, including a clear listing of everything you have tried so far. Thank you! :D
