Think of hospital without the 's'.

It's pronounced LOW-PEE-TOWEL(I think).

Do you mean "which is the correct spelling of the name"? If so, do a quick search on Google or some other search engine. The result with a greater number of "hits" will tell you which is correct. Also, since this rule was named after a person, finding biographical information on the person himself will give you the correct spelling of the rule.

One can see it spelled l’Hospital as in Howard Eves’ History of Mathematics or as l’Hopital as in Thomas/Finney Calculus.
