For this problem:

A piece of cardboard measures 10 by 15 in. Two equal squares are removed from the corners of a 10 in side. Two equal rectangles are removed from the other corners so that the tabs can be folded to form a rectangular box lid.

a) find domain of V and graph V over this domain
b) find maximum volume and x value

-------------------------------------------------------

I know that the formula for the volume of a box is l*w*h, but dunno what to plug in to those and dunno what to do for the domain...i DID draw the picture for this problem but I am still very stuck.

thank you sooo much!

Your question refers to "V", but your exercise, as posted, makes no mention of this.

Please reply with the full text of the exercise, including the instructions, and providing a detailed description of the associated graphic, so we can understand what is supposed to be done with the cardboard.

Thank you.

Eliz.
