I can't seem to be able to paste the problem with using word equation editor.

Not sure what you mean by "power of 49." It is important to recognize that 49 = 7^2.

Also, a basic property of exponents: ((a^b)(c^d))^e = (a^be)(c^de).

That should get you started.

BTW, I'm guessing that the "1/2" on the end is supposed to be an exponent(?). Please correct me if I'm mistaken.
