i need some help for review

I don't know if simplify is the right word, but you could long divide it.

        x + 5 ) x + 3
                x + 5
               -------
                   -2

You have: \(\displaystyle \L 1\,-\,\frac{2}{x\,+\,5}\)
 
What does it equal to?. Equal what?. You have no equation, just an expression to 'simplify'.
