I need hlep finding the domain of the function

x is the domain and the function is the (f) in the equation and i think the answer is an infinate number of sulutions except a number but i am not sure what the number is I think it might be 8

f(x)=1/(x+8)

The domain is 1/(x+8)

The function is the rule for converting each input value into a unique output value.

Where the function is called f, the notation f(x) =... is used to specify the rule, so the rule of f say would be y = f(x)

The domain is 1/(x+8)

This is not correct; the domain is a set of Real numbers.

The function is the rule for converting each input value into a unique output value.

I note that "unique output value" says that there can be one, and only one, value assigned to any individual x in the domain; however, different values of x may lead to the same y [eg: f(x) = 4].

Cheers
