I dont know how to work out these:

1. Two angles are supplementary. One angle is 40 degrees more than four times the other. What is the measure of the two angles?

2. Given that A-P-B are on segment AB, which statement is not necessarily true?

When two angles are supplementary, they total 180 degrees.

So, 40 more than 4 times. How would you express that?

4x+40 maybe.

So the two angles would be x and 4x+40. They must total 180.

x+(4x+40)=180. Solve.

For #2, what statements?.

Statements

A, P, and B are collinear.
P is between points A and B.
P is the midpoint of segment AB.
AP + PB = AB.

Thanks!
