Solve the following system of equations.

x+3y=5 (1)

x=2-3y(2)

what is the solution of the system?

You can rearrange the 2nd equation to become x+3y=2.
Now you have...
(1) x+3y=5
(2) x+3y=2
Are there any values for x and y that will make these equations true? Now, you need to understand the words "consistent", "Inconsistent", "no solution", "many solutions", etc. and any other words and phrases emphasized in the chapter/section you are studying.

Ok, so by rearranging the equation i will not get a different answer will I ?
