In Alg 2, my evil math offered us a bonus calculus workesheet that I need help with.
The first question is: Explain why the turning points of the graph of y= f(x) are among the zeros of f'(x) = 0
Also: can someone explain what the derivative of a polynomial function is?

How does your textbook define derivative of a polynomial?

Convert all the logs to base 2 ... and tell us what you get....

You need to read the rules of this forum. Please read the post titled "Read before Posting" at the following URL:

We can help - we only help after you have shown your work - or ask a specific question (not a statement like "Don't know any of these")

Please share your work with us indicating exactly where you are stuck - so that we may know where to begin to help you.

I do not understand the circumstances.

You are studying second-year algebra?

Do you understand what a function is?

What is the definition of the zeroes of a function?

Have you learned what the general definition of the derivative of a function is and what it represents?

Your question does not specify that f(x) is a polynomial function so why are you asking about such functions?

Please do as Subhotosh Khan asks by reading the Read Before Posting thread. If you have not been able to do any work because you do not know the answers to my questions, let us know which of those questions is baffling you.
