Hi, I'm new and I was wondering if somebody help me with 4 problems. The problems are below:

1. Derek needs to purchase carpet for his living room floor that is in the shape of a rectangle. The length of the floor is 6 yards and the width is 3 yards. How many square feet of carpet will he need to cover the total area of the floor?

2. Carol traveled for 4 hours at an average speed of 60 mph. How far did she travel? [Show your work].

3. At a frog-jumping contest, Beth's frog jumped a length of 76 inches and Steven's frog jumped a length of 68 inches. What is the total length that both frogs jumped in feet? Show your work.

4. Cheryl needs to a put a 3-foot high fence around her swimming pool in the backyard. The deck around the pool forms a rectangle that measures 6.5 yards by 10.3 yards. How much fencing will she need if she places the fence along the edge of the pool deck? Show your work.

It would mean a lot to me if somebody could help me out with these problems and quickly. Thanks.

What sort of problems are these?
This seems to be a list of elementary arithmetic problems.
Is this a take-home for a young child?
Are you looking for someone to do them for you?
Please explain!

1) How many feet are in one yard? So how many feet are in six yards and three yards? What is the area given by those dimensions?

2) Hint: What does "miles per hour" mean?

3) What is the total number of inches in the two jumps? How many inches are in one foot? So how many feet is the total length?

4) Draw the rectangle. Label the lengths and widths. Find the total distance around the outside.

Eliz.

1. I think there geometry problems. I'm not sure.

2. I do not know if there elemantary problems. It's homework from a packet that my teacher assigned. I completed the other problems which were 30 but I did not do these cause I did not understand them.

3. No, I'm not looking for someone to do them for me just explain them. Though, it would be nice if someone did them for me so I could be done but I doubt anybody will do them for me. I just need help.

4. By the way, sorry if I put too many problems but my teacher has not shown as how to do this. He just assigns the work and he shows you how to do it the next day. The worst part is he grades it even if you don't understand. He is my new math teacher. My old math teacher left the state due to family problems and he did teach us. Plus, he hardly gave homework, he just made us take notes and do classwork. (Just telling you so you won't think I did not learn anything in math this year.)

one of the 4 problems 240mph

well i did understand the if u travel 4 hours at the speed of 60mph u will travel 240mph 60 times 4=240, one hour= 60mph
