Hey everyone, Im new here and Im having some trouble with a few questions, I was wondering if you guys could help me out. Here they are:

Find the local maxes and mins for...

f(x)=x(x-4)^3
f(x)=(x^2-1)^3
f(x)=x^6(x-3)^3
f(x)=(x^2-1)^6(x-1)
f(x)=(x^3+8)^2
f(x)=x/(x^2+1)
f(x)=x^2/(x^2+1)
f(x)=x^2/(x^2+1)^2
f(x)=x^3/(x^2+1)^2
f(x)=x^2/(x-1)

Thanks in advance for you help!

Do you have a graphing calculator?. Start by taking the derivatives of the functions.

yes i can find the derivatives easily enough, but then what...

Next find where the derivative equals zero.
Test for max or min.
