In my calculus class were got this problem... x^2 -4xy+4y^2 +x-12y-10=0
Finding the derivative and tangent and normal lines was the easy part. But the extra credit part is what I'm having trouble with. We have to cahage this equation into standard form but I don't know how to do it!
I know that the B and C values will have x's in them but I'm not sure how to put that into the quadratic formula and how to solve it.
If anyone can help that would be great
