HI again......

I got this one almost to the end, but I am stuck!!!!!!! HELP! :roll:

1 2 x

x+4 x^2 +2x-8 x-2

1 2 x
___+___________ + ______
x+4 (x-2)(x+4) x-2

1(x-2) 2(x+4) x

x+4(x-2) (x-2)(x+4) (x-2)(x+4)

1(x-2) +2(x+4)+x

Where do I go from here.....my book says the answer is
x(x+5)

(x-2)(x+4)

Why did you alter the middle one with (x+4)/(x+4)? Try it with the third term, instead.

I thought you'd figure it out by now.
The system doesn't retain extra spaces.
You can try to type "AB . . CD", but it won't work.
You can try "code" if you dare . . . it still takes a lot of work.

That's a good try, but there are WAY longer. Don't even try to find them. It will take up far too much space in the math forum.
