I need help finding critical points and how to do it

I struggle with the english terms so if i was to find the critical points to for example:

f(x,y)=x^2y+4xy+2xy^2

How would i do it and also use the correct english terms underway? Im norwegian btw. So its math and language help hehe.

Do a Google search for "critical points of a function".

Find the partials and set them = 0. That is solve f_x=0 and f_y=0 for x and y.

I suspect that you are correct when you say that you want the critical point. To be positive can you tell us why you want to find the 'critical points'?
