Yeah sure. Another method is to use division, then multiplication.

Method $\displaystyle \bold{2}$:

$\displaystyle \frac{2125}{2000} = 1.0625$

This means that $\displaystyle 6.25\%$ of $\displaystyle 2000$ is the interest.

$\displaystyle 2000 \times 0.0625 = \$ 125$
