I did that one :) now I need help with to solve an equation

it says solve the equation:

6d+7=5d+2

I tried:

6d+7=5d-2
-7= -7
6d/6d=2d/6-2
d=0.3d-2

but I know is wrong I need advice to solve it the right way.

Back up to "-7 = -7".

Ponder why you decided to do that.
Ponder what effect "-7" should have on each side.
Show your result after ONLY "-7 = -7".

Don't try to do five things at once.
