Substitute for h into the Surface area equation.
S=2?r^2 (V- 2/3 ?r^2 )/(?r^2 )+3?r^2

and how do you post equations in non linear form?

Is (?r^2 ) the divisor, or do you mean ((?r^2 )+3?r^2) is the divisor.
Plus WHAT is h? Please post original problem IN FULL :shock:

All equations are "posted" using keyboard!!
Please clarify that unclear question.

know idea what a divisor is the h is subtituted with (V- 2/3 ?r^2 )

The question itself is a calculus problem I don't understand how to make 2?r^2 (V- 2/3 ?r^2 )/(?r^2 )+3?r^2 into the minimum term so I can differentiation it.

the poblem is 125 litters in capacity, and can be approximated by a cylinder in shape with a hemispherical end cap; calculate the radius and overall height
