Hi, I just saw your other thread. You're asking about a naira sign in LaTeX, as in [imath]₦600[/imath].

There's a naira sign available in the Windows Character Map (Unicode U+20A6). You may paste it into your LaTeX code. It works here with or without using \text{}.

Symbol Hippo says the ASCII alt code is ALT-8358, but my numeric keypad generates symbol a here, instead. (Some alt codes are text-editor dependent.)

If you're using LaTeX elsewhere, then you might also check your provider's packages/extensions. Apparently, there's a \textnaira command out there, somewhere. :)

Hi. Is that required for the type of coding in this StackExchange solution? I've seen other features coded (using macros with various 'packages'?) that would be nice to have here, but katex renders LaTeX here and I don't know where such coding is implemented.

Yes, that's the one I was looking at.

I need to learn more currencies!
