Hi,
I have a fraction:
f(z) = (4z+9)/(2-z)

I have found its derivative using quotient formula and I got following:

f'(z) = 17/(2-z)^2

If I equate it to zero, the whole equation vanishes. How to calculate its maxima and minima.
Some body please guide me.

Zulfi.

That tells you there there are no local maxima or minima. That isn't uncommon.
