How to calculate call rate when there is a connection fee?

Hi!



I need a calculation to determine the call rate and connection fee (if applicable) on calls.



It doesn't appear to be a flat per minute rate so I think there may be a Connection Fee. If so, I need to figure out what the Call Connection Fee component is so I can establish the cost per minute. That way I could calculate the cost of a 5 minute call for example.

Long Distance

Excel was made for doing such things.

Plot the points in excel and do a "trend-line".

What do you get?

When you get the trend-line as Subhotosh Khan suggested, note that the 'cost per minute' will change with length of call if there is a Connections Fee. That is suppose the actual trend line gave
C = 0.10 t + 0.25
[10 cents a minute with a connection fee of 25 cents]. For a 1 minute call the cost is 35 cents or an average of 35 cents a minute. For a 5 minute call the cost is 75 cents or an average of 15 cents a minute. For a 10 minute call the cost is 125 cents or an average of 12.5 cents per minute.
