Hi All
I have the problem
"
A platform of steel and cement has 36 cubic meters. For every cubic meter of steel there has been used 6 bags of 50 Kg cement and 110 kg steel. How much the plaform costs (in Romanian Lei) if 1 kg of cement costs 1 Leu and 1 kg of steel costs 18 Lei?

The book answer is 82 080 Lei which is not the same as mine :(
Please any suggestion ?

I think you misunderstood the problem. You appear to have interpreted " 6 bags of 50 Kg cement and 110 kg steel" as meaning that each of the 6 bags contains " 50 Kg cement and 110 kg steel". No, steel does not come in bags along with cement! There were 6 bags. each containing 60 kg of cement and, separately , 110 kg of steel.

Once you understand that, this is reasonably straight forward. There are 36 cubic meters and every cubic meter requires 6*50= 300 kg cement and 110 kg of steel so the 36 cubic meters require 36(300)= 10800 kg of cement and 36(110)= 3960 kg of steel. Each kg of cement cost 1 leu so 10800 kg cost 10800 lei. Each kg of steel cost 18 lei so 3960 kg of steel cost 18(3960)= 71280 lei. That's a total of 10800+ 71280= 82080 as your book says.
