Hi. I finished like 5 problems just like this one on my worksheet but this one i am having trouble with. can someone help me out?

Miami Metrozoo charges $8.75 for adult admission and $5.75 for each child under 12. The total bill before tax for a school group of 60 people is $369. How many adults and how many children were admitted?

so far i only got $8.75(x) + 5.75(x) = 369. i am not sure how to read that 60 people part of the question.

let be number of adults
let C be the number of children

Given: A+C=60
cost for Adults and children = $369

cost = $8.75A + $5.75C
substitute $369 for cost and 60-C for A

369=8.75[60-C]+5.75C
369=525-3C
3C=156
C=52 answer
A=8

LET x = adults; then students = 60 - x ; so:
8.75x + 5.75(60 - x) = 369

Carry on...
