As bestellen [is that best ellen BTW?] indicated, if you want to increase add to 1 and multiply: increase by 20% (= factor of 0.2) add to one (=1.2) and multiply. If you want to decrease subtract from one and multiply: decrease by 20% (=factor of 0.2) subtract from one (= 0.8) and multiply.
