Is your problem:

\(\displaystyle 3x^2-3y^2\text{?}\)

If you want to factor it out then:

\(\displaystyle 3(x^2-y^2)\)

Re: how do u do this??

ohh okay..
thanks

but i still cant figure out the other one .

Start posting these like this: u^2 v^2 + 4uvw + 3w^2

Let x = uv; then you have x^2 + 4xw + 3w^2 : can you factor that?
If not, you need help from your teacher.

Since you aren't aware that the factorization is not complete (you were provided with the first step only), it would appear that you missed the lessons covering specical factoring formulas. To fix this, try this lesson. In particular, study the formula for factoring a difference of squares.

To learn how to factor quadratics, try this lesson.

Once you have learned the necessary background material, please attempt the exercises. If you get stuck, you will then be able to reply with a clear listing of your steps and reasoning so far. Thank you! :D
