What is the question?

Clearly you, yourself have shown it is not a right triangle.
So, What is the question?

Why are you using the Pythagorem Theorem? Does it specify that this is a right triangle? What exactly are you trying to solve?

A = (1/2)(base)(height)

which two sides of the right triangle form the base and height?

BIG hint ... neither one is the hypotenuse.

BIG hint #2 ... base and height are always perpendicular.

also ... advise you re-read previous BIG hint.
