How determine whether a sequence is increasing as n increases without apply differentiation to explicit formula of the sequence?

Perhaps show that \(\displaystyle t_{n+1} - t_{n}\) is always positive.

Can you show the question you have?
 
If you graphed the equation y = 14x - 16, would it be increasing or decreasing? What is the slope of this line?
 
Given explicit formula of a sequence, an=14n-16 , determine whether it is increasing as n increases.
If it is a linear function with a positive slope it is increasing.
