"And please show all work!"............that's YOUR job. Please show us what you have attempted to do on each of these problems. Once we see that, we'll be in a better position to know where you need help.

We don't DO homework here.

NOTE....problem #4 is simple arithmetic. The fact that you haven't even tried to do that one tells me a lot.

Hi evensozero9,

Why don't you post these one at a time. You'll have better success of getting them answered that way. And as MrsPi suggested, show us your attempts and where it is that you are stuck.

(1) Evaluate \(\displaystyle 2x^2+2x-5\) when \(\displaystyle x=-\frac{1}{2}-\frac{\sqrt{11}}{2}\)

\(\displaystyle 2\left(-\frac{1}{2}-\frac{\sqrt{11}}{2}\right)^2+2\left(-\frac{1}{2}-\frac{\sqrt{11}}{2}\right)-5\)

\(\displaystyle 2\left(\frac{1}{4}+\frac{\sqrt{11}}{2}+\frac{11}{4}\right)-1-\sqrt{11}-5\)

\(\displaystyle \frac{1}{2}+\sqrt{11}+\frac{11}{2}-6-\sqrt{11}\)

Now you should be able to finish it up....

First of all, VampiDi, you need to create your own post instead of attaching your question to someone else's.

Second, there is no equation here. All you have is two monomials separated by a comma. What can you do with that? Look at your problem more closely and see if you any words out.

Then, create a new thread.

I apologize for posting in someone else's question. How do i create my own?

Go to the 'Board Index' at the top of the page. Select a sub-forum like 'Pre-Algebra' or 'Geometry' and click on 'New Topic'
