ive been stuck on this problem:\ can someone help me

a bag contains 4 red chips,2 blue chips and 5 green chips. A chip is randomly removed from the bag and then without replacing the first chip a second chip is removed. what is the probability that both chips from the bag were blue?

Hello, audreycontreras23!

A bag contains 4 red chips,2 blue chips and 5 green chips.
A chip is randomly removed from the bag and then without replacing the first chip a second chip is removed.
What is the probability that both chips from the bag were blue?

Here's one approach . . .

\(\displaystyle \text{There are: }\:_{11}C_2 \:=\:55\text{ possible outcomes.}\)

There is one in which both chips are blue.

Therefore . . .
