help solve this problem please.

Heidi ran 14 times as far after she got her second wind. If she ran three thousand and seven hundred eighty-seven millionths feet on her first wind. How far did she run in all?

Thanks,
Taylor

Name Stuff.
Name what?
What does it want?
Name that.

x = As far as Heidi ran in all

ALWAYS a good place to start. It's not always the most convenient, but it IS a place to start. You can mess with other defininitions if you wish.

y = distance Heidi ran after her second win

Then, x - y = distance Heidi ran on first wind.

Let's see if that gets you anywhere.

Are you joking...what's "millionths" doing there?

three thousand and seven hundred eighty-seven = 3787

now multiply that by 14 ; Heidi's sure a long distance runner!
