hello,

Thanks for the help of my last question.

State the amplitude, period, phase shift and vertical shift for the following equations:

y = 3sinx

y = cosx - 2

y = sin(x - 45 )

y = cos2x

This is what I have done :

y = 3sinx

ampilitude: 3

period: 360

phase shift: right

vertical shift: none or 1

y = cosx - 2

ampilitude: 1

period: 360

phase shift: none

vertical shift: none or 1

y = sin(x - 45)

ampilitude: 1

period: 360

phase shift: left

vertical shift: none or 1

y = cos2x

ampilitude: 1

period: 360

phase shift: left

vertical shift: none or 1

Have I done this right ?

Thanks

hello,

This is what I have done :

y = 3sinx

ampilitude: 3

phase shift: right

vertical shift: none or 1

ampilitude: 3 -- Yes

period: 360 - Not quite. 360º -- Units matter.

phase shift: right - No. What does that even mean, anyway?

vertical shift: none or 1 <== Make up your mind. You can't have both.

Let's rethink this one before we move on.
